Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center welcomes participation from veterinary students from all accredited veterinary colleges in the form of a clinical externship.
The duration of the clinical externships are flexible but generally range from 2-12 weeks depending on the type of externship program and accredited veterinary college requirements for individual students. Externs are responsible for all personal expenses including housing, travel, transportation and food. If requested, recommendations for housing can be made. Externship programs should be arranged at least 3 months in advance of the requested start date.
Any veterinary student in good academic standing from an accredited college of veterinary medicine is eligible for an externship. Clinical externships are offered for students during their rotating clinical year(s).
