  • Completed one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania
  • Completed fellowship in emergency and critical care medicine at the University of Pennsylvania
  • Completed three-year residency in emergency and critical care at the University of Pennsylvania
  • Passed ACVECC credentialing exam for board-certification in emergency and critical care

  • Toxicology
  • Respiratory disease and mechanical ventilation
  • Management of renal disease
  • Fluid therapy in critically ill animals

Dr. Pachtinger is married to Margie Laub-Pachtinger and they have a wonderful son, Jack. Their family also includes a dog (Annie) and a cat (Joie).  In his free time, he enjoys running, baseball, photography and anything technological (iPhone, Macbook, web design, etc.)
