Dr. Simons is from the small Atlantic island of Bermuda, but considers the East Coast her second home. She first became interested in veterinary surgery as a technician working with a veterinarian completing his surgical case log for a certificate course. When away from the clinic, she enjoys cooking (especially vegetarian dishes) and virtually any outdoor activity. She has two dogs and a cat (Raven, Ryddls, and Riley).
