Here is an excerpt from a poem a client wrote in memory of his beloved Sylvester. Click here to read the whole poem.

I sit here and remember the sound of my pet.
My friend, My buddy, I won't soon forget.

The fun that we had, my family and I,
Watching him grow, from Kitten to "The Big Guy"

The care he received couldn't be beat,
It just couldn't get him back up on his feet....

    Sincerely,
    Bill, Philadelphia, PA
  • Rudy

    Dear VSEC,

I've been to VSEC many times over the past 8 to 10 years. Every time proved more and more how competent the Staff is and how exceptionally informative and competent the Doctor's/Surgeons are. If I had 2 more legs, I'd come to VSEC for my ailments. I'd like to praise Dr. Java. She was the first to examine my dog, Skip, on October 1st and as a result of her thoroughness, additional problems (besides Pancreatitis) were found in my dog which led to Surgery. Dr. Java was exceptionally informative as to each problem that existed, or possibly existed, with my dog's internal organs, and she fully explained possible treatments that may be needed. This is important to pet owners who need to know if there is treatment that could extend the life of their 4-legged family member. I could go on and on about this young woman but I'm sure you already know about the jewel you have in Doctor Java.
    Sincerely, Ed, Philadelphia, PA

  • Rudy

    Dr. Risbon,

I was thrilled to read Rudy’s last report. Against all odds, he appears to have “beaten” a terrible diagnosis – thanks to your care and treatment.

Rudy is a wonderful Maine Coon with a HUGE personality and he is very dear to me. He is always in the middle of everything and is a dominant force. We truly appreciate your successful efforts in the care of Rudy. Thank you!

  • Mandy

Dear Drs. Tseng, McClain, Klag and the entire staff of VSEC,

We would like to extent to all of you our most sincere thanks and appreciation for all your loving care to our 3 year old West Highland terrier, Mandy.

Mandy received the best quality of care at VSEC from her first hospitalization in December 2009 to this final stay last week. Your professionalism and concern eased us during Mandy’s hospitalizations. You kept us constantly updated on her progress and were extremely supportive to us during her last hours of life. We greatly appreciate that.

Drs. Tseng, McClain and Klag – all of you showed exemplary compassion to us during the critical days. Your front desk staff were also attentive and understanding to our needs.

Mandy was critically ill with encephalitis and all of you in some way helped us through this difficult time.

We will never forget each one of you and how compassionate you were to our precious Mandy and to us! Thanks again!

Sincerely, Dave & Donna, Philadelphia, PA

  • Paolo

    Dear Dr. Collins,

Thank you so much for your loving card and kind words. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness & support in caring for Paolo throughout this past year. We were so fortunate to have found you and to have received the gift of your gentle healing energy & spirited presence. Thank you for the good work that you do.

Take good care, Marla, Philadelphia, PA

  • Lucy London

    Dear Dr. Chapman,

Lucy was so lucky to have you take care of her these last few months. Thank you again for all you did. Knowing she was in your caring and capable hands made a very difficult time easier to handle.

    Sandy and Lloyd, Bensalem, PA

  • Sal and His Brother

    Dr. Nieh and Staff,

Thank you so much for saving our cat Sal. He is a much loved member of our family. Everyone at your facility was so kind and even though it was a scary time for us, everyone helped explain everything, was very accommodating, and always had a smile. We cannot express how grateful we are that you got our Sal back to us.

Thank you, Lisa, Chris and Sal, Philadelphia, PA

  • Barney

    Dear Dr. Glickstein,

We want to thank you for all of the years that you took care of Barney. Barney passed away two weeks ago at almost 17 years of age. You were always kind, caring and compassionate and gave him (& us) the best of care. Barney’s eyesight was extended because of you, and in fact, you were the reason we found a cancerous tumor in his leg last spring. You gave us and Barney more quality time together and for that we are forever grateful. We’re heartbroken over losing Barney, but find comfort in knowing that we shared almost 17 incredible years together. Thank you for helping to make that happen. You’re a wonderful doctor & person.

Fondly, Cindy & Rick, Yardley, PA

  • Dixie

    Dear Dr. Popovitch,

On January 19th of 2009 you performed a procedure to repair the right cranial cruciate ligament on Dixie… I remember clearly your reassuring words prior to surgery that she would run again, and run hard but, having spoken to several other trainers and veterinarians, I held little hope that Dixie would ever again realize her full measure as a sporting dog.

Difficult as it was through man y cold winter weeks, my family and I followed your instructions carefully to give her the best possible chance…I’m now ecstatic to tell you that Dixie is running and hunting as if she was never injured. She plows through the most difficult cover with reckless abandon...

Your work is simply fantastic! I thank you. My family thanks you and if Dixie could, she would certainly thank you with all her (very considerable) heart.

Thank you once again, Brian & Beth, Doylestown, PA

  • Bacal

    Dear Dr. Bossbaly,

It is a month since Bacal’s last hospitalization, a time when no one was sure if she would ever return home. And only a week later, she exhibited signs of deterioration. You helped me to confirm that the right thing to do was to make her as comfortable as possible, but not to hospitalize again. We thought her days were only a few.

Rather than completely give up, though, you suggested a dramatic increase in her medications, and some new ones we had not tried previously. Now, a month later, Bacal is still with us, enjoying her time with me, Art, and the other dogs and cats that make up her home. She is able to play with her favorite toys, go upstairs to sleep by our bed, and even play a bit in our yard.

I’m so very grateful for this time with Bacal, and so grateful to you who made it possible. Even though we said we would not “treat”, you did not give up... This combination of compassion mixed with determination is very special, and to be admired. I am thankful that Bacal has you on her team, and that I have had the opportunity to work with you.

I do not know how much longer Bacal will be with us. I’m just happy to have it, and know the part you have played in it.

    Sincerely, Sandy, Huntington Valley, PA

  • Boone

    Dear Dr. Collins,

Thank you for everything you did to help Boone enjoy his last year with us. He truly loved coming to see you and you did wonders for him physically, mentally and emotionally. I am amazed at all you did for him. You truly made such a positive difference in his standard of life and for that we are forever grateful.

Your hospital was a wonderful place to say goodbye and we appreciate how well they took care of him and us. Thank you again for everything.

Sincerely, John & Suzie, Newtown, PA

  • Chloe

Dear Dr. Pachtinger and all of the Staff at VSEC,

Just a little note to thank you for saving my when I was sooo sick. Thank you so much for taking such good care of me but also my mommy too…I keep trying to show her that I’m 100% better but she is still fawning all over me. I guess that is the price you pay when you are so cute!

Anyways this is nothing personal when I say that I hope I never have to see you again but I’m so glad that you were there when I needed you most.

    Love, “Chloe”, Bensalem, PA
